Kragerø 350 years: illustration of Norwegian painter, drawer, and sculpture artist Theodor Kittelsen (1857-1914) as a small boy in his sleeping room, on the rooftop at the family's house in downtown Kragerø. As a young boy, he found this dark roof room pretty scary, and with his extreme sense of imagination, he started creating fictive creations while living here. He "saw" trolls, alves etc all over the place, and even though the washed clothes hanging on the lines looked like fairytale creations. No wonder this guy later became the "father" of Norwegian folklore and mythic history. - Linn Krogh Hansen / NORWAY
